Review on PGPM-Ex in PRODUCT MANAGEMENT from GREAT LAKES INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT
PGPM-Ex in PRODUCT MANAGEMENT from GREAT LAKES INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT
Right after my graduation in 2007 I have joined an MNC in Bangalore and started my career in the US Healthcare IT Operations. Over the years met many wonderful talented people in the different work locations. My career moved to a Product Owner role from an Analyst role in the last 10 years.
As a Product owner you need to execute many activities to
take the team in the right direction towards the product and company goal i.e.
need to fill in many shoes at a time. You need to understand the Finance,
Economics, Negotiation, Marketing, Leadership, Analytics and Strategy. When you
are part of the Product Development It’s important for me to understand
- Product Development Process (Gestation to Elimination )
- Business Model Design
- UX Design
- Metrics
- Pricing and Financial Planning
- Technology and Documentation for PMs
- Social Media Strategy
- SDLC – Agile and Waterfall
The selection I made was attested to be valid over my last
one year engagement with Great lakes. The course was hashed out to learn what
is needed for a Management Executive Professional. The professors helped me to
understand the complex papers with practical scenarios. The Quizzes, Discussion
forums and Group assignment were incredible and worthy.
The capstone Project conducted in the Great Lakes Chennai
Campus was a good learning experience. We had long discussion about the product
development and marketing strategy.
Yes, Learning never ends and still a long way to go goose.
But whatever I learned will help me to achieve my future work and life goals.
Last but not the least I have to mention about my peers in
the class. The Average experience of the class was 5+ years and the diversity
of the class was awesome as we had a mix of experience – Sales, IT,
Construction, Medical, Travel, Consulting, HR and Petrol. Yes, Now I am connected with many future
leaders and learned many thing from them.
The Master dream that I couldn’t pursue in 2007 now I have
completed in 2017-18.
A BIG thank You #GreatLakes #Greatlearning.
Really resourceful. Covers all the valuable aspects.
